Welcome to the Recommended Free Programs page where I will list some free programs and give a little personal view about them. I don't expect you to trust my opinions as most people who will visit this page don't really know me, but I do give honest opinions and I've tried and/or use every program listed here. There wouldn't be much point in me giving something a personal comment if I hadn't actually tried it myself because I wouldn't be able to say if it was any good or not.

Great program, but with a bit of a false claim there, "Unlike any other similar utilities, this software is 100% free, no charges, no banners (which steal your bandwidth), no spyware.", not like Star Downloader which is a very similar program and is also "100% free" with, "no charges, no banners, no spyware" then?
Motherboard Monitor - (description from Softpedia) Motherboard Monitor will access one or more of the following chips: LM75, LM78, LM78-j, LM79, LM80, WinBond W83781D, WinBond W83782D, WinBond W83783S, WinBond W83627HF, Asus AS99127F, GL518SM, GL520SM, ADM9240, ADM1021, ADM1020, MAX1016, MAX1016a, FMS2701, VIA686A, THMC10 and THMC50 on your motherboard and provide you with information about your motherboard's temperature, voltages, fan speeds ,CPU temperature and more. It's a nice tool.
Very good program for monitoring your PC's voltages and temperature, as you will see on the site, it's capable of quite a lot.
Google Toolbar - Search the web with Google from any site  • Eliminate pop-up ads  • Fill in forms with one click  • Highlight search terms on a page  • Updates automatically - no need to install software upgrades
Very good and very recommended, just remember to disable PageRank™ if you don't want your browsing habits to be seen by Google.
VirtualDub - VirtualDub is a video capture/processing utility for 32-bit Windows platforms (95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP), licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL).  It lacks the editing power of a general-purpose editor such as Adobe Premiere, but is streamlined for fast linear operations over video.  It has batch-processing capabilities for processing large numbers of files and can be extended with third-party video filters.  VirtualDub is mainly geared toward processing AVI files, although it can read (not write) MPEG-1 and also handle sets of BMP images.

A very good program if you don't want to use MSN, Yahoo and ICQ as it's all in one with Trillian. Sucks badly as an IRC client though.
The Gimp - The GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.
Not a bad program at all, especially for free. It may not be as powerful as PhotoShop, but it gives Paint Shop Pro a run for it's money.

CDex is probably the best free CD audio extracting program out there. It's fast and will rip into MP3 up to 320Kbps, although, you don't need to go any higher than 192Kbps for CD quality MP3's.
File Renamer Basic is an excellent free program for renaming files, whole folders... Here's what the site says;
